SALE OF CLOVER LANES PROPERTY IN QUESTION
After the legal wrangling Mario Danielle won the right to purchase the property under Clover Lanes. Now after a 4 month due diligence period it seems no closer to conclusion, says Dan Morgenstern, managing partner of Clover Lanes. Now the sale is in question. Daniele has exercised the right to an extension period of three months. At the end of that time he must purchase or walk away. Morgenstern believes "we're still here next year and the foreseeable future. My gut says they will not be able to get this done".
The original concept of a hotel development was put forward by the Daniele family. That idea has been rejected and the latest plan calls for a high end retail strip. While the planning is being further investigated the challenges and time constraints are pressing. Clover Lanes continues to operate under the premise that it will be an ongoing business for years to come. "We remain an integral part of the recreational and sporting community here in Rochester" says Morgenstern. "As such we continue our business development plans. We have taken on RIT's bowling program, continue as the largest youth bowling programmer in the five county district and continue to be the leader in innovative offerings and customer experience".
